dark room do you gotta keep moving say what do you have to keep moving like is it most no it's charged into my computer so hopefully hopefully it works um just from a power perspective but this thing's really bright so hope it doesn't die on me uh all right cool let's see here so we're live technically let's see here waiting you know for it to hit the inter webs here good morning every everybody if you are tuning in good morning excited for this one let's see here just checking just checking all right you are enough you know we could have done a play on words
and done the KU from like the Barbie movie surprisingly good my wife and I watch surpris I only got halfway through because I can't sit still like watching an entire movie um but uh the Barbie movie was not mad I will I will say I'm gonna give it more than that it was good there you go all right sweet I love it so you watch it too cool yeah in theaters in theaters you were there I was there I was there I love it all YouTube yeah we got it there anything think here all right cool we're getting we're getting started a little early this
morning so we're probably gonna have people tuning in here next few minutes um a as as as we have people tuned in I'm not even going to go over to spiel re how's how's life been how is uh just let's just catch up with friends here for like eight minutes until we're technically supposed to go live we're just live now so people can like tune in you uh we had Mexican yes food what three months ago four month six months ago I don't know how long AG I don't know what time time is relative at this point uh you were going to Ghana oh okay
so it was before Ghana yeah so I went to Ghana yeah that was dope how was that how was that I haven't talked about Ghana so I'm glad you asked about that yeah yeah yeah I let talk about just as we're kind of just here early just kind of his friends live dude it was lifechanging it was was a life-changing event I went for a service trip with my alma moer and I was a chaperon and it was uh one of those trips where I was kind of scared to go like not knowing what to expect from what we know about what we as Americans
know and perceive Africa to be I I I I legit want to go to Africa I think the culture is completely different I think it would just be so good to learn be a part of it yeah man and I think like as soon as we landed like so many of the stereo types and uh myths that I had about Africa were debunked like immediately we landed in Acra which is like a city like it's it's a big city it's big buildings their their Jubilee House which is like their white house is [ __ ] beautiful can we Cur beautiful we can curse we can
curse I just let it rip man let it rip I love it it's beautiful and uh but the uh the mission or the the reason we were on the trip was to uh help to rebuild and restore a computer lab for this community oh really yeah okay this is very very applicable to this to this community yeah like like for real though because like some of these kids like they're gonna be in there learning how to code and learning how to you know work do amazing stuff and so we uh we went rural parts of Ghana we were about three hours outside of the big
city and it was beautiful we were up on this hill that overlooked the beach it was like a little little Paradise Oasis and um and so uh but yeah first day was like really cool we got to um meet the the chief that was of the part of this community and he gave us the blessing to start working we got to meet the kids that we were working for we got to you know just really like plug in with the community that was there so it was amazing um I think like when I look back at the time the most memorable piece for me was
going through Cape Coast Castle which is slave dungeon okay and so it was like the last port before humans were shipped across the Atlantic to come to the Americas and when I tell you like I was I was trembling leading up to getting to that place sure and we we got o ut and the first like the the tour started and the first door we went into was the cell and the cell was a place where they would take people who either tried to run away or fought back or whatever and left them in there to die and just like suffocate and die until everyone
in the room was dead they pull them out drag them across the floor and be like if you act out this will be you yeah and and like walking in there and this is like the original structure this is everything but a few doors have been that's crazy that's crazy like filling the walls I I felt literal like I felt screams and cold and like it it it hurt so I started crying immediately and I was a high school students and they're looking at me like whoa like this is yeah they they've already bonded with me and connected with me and so like they saw
the impact that it had sure but like going through the rest of it all it was it was it was a lot of pain but then it ended with a lot of Pride and I think that was the part that I really will hold on to is when we got to the end there's this the the Gate of no return like the last step and um that is like looking out into the beach into the water like oh my God like I I know what's on the other side of that but the people that were leaving Africa going over had no clue what life would
look like and the ramifications of everything that's come after that and uh but I think recently not too long ago there has been this Resurgence to of of the African diaspora coming back to Africa and on the other side of that gtim no return was the Gate of return and so it's like through all the strife and struggle of the past several centuries like I'm here to be able to be doing what I'm doing um as a descendant of folks who came from Africa and so yeah it was it was a lot of pain and pride but like it was dope man and the students
that I was with like shout out to them like like little I was calling them little brothers for a minute but then they started calling me UNC so now their nephews so I graduated to so yeah I love that I think that's the biggest conf I think that's the biggest compliment um well for those of you tuned in good morning you're probably like what the heck is going on that story is not normal I me it's not Reggie is a dear friend we actually got connected by the great James Quick uh for those of you who know Jones Qui James Quick jqu James Quick uh
James qqu um obviously Reggie and I got connected through him and Reggie and I become dear friends and and um you know Reggie is kind of like Tech adjacent right obviously you could tell went to Africa talked about the the community side of things and and um you know Tech side of things and um you know so we're gonna talk today uh really about Reggie we're gonna touch on Reggie's background super high level but Reggie's actually about to give a tedex talk um and and so you know again I want to bring people on this show uh to build a platform uh to give to
to give them a platform rather um and Reggie is one of the best dudes that I know um and so if you need a little pick in the pants this morning um definitely stay here with us this morning for the next 30 minutes I know we got started a little bit early but I just want to chat with Reggie and go live um but so say hey right so say hey we love to hear from you um uh again this is a networking platform I know we started a little bit early um and uh but please say Hey listen if if you're lurking this morning
um just just literally just say hey throw up your favorite emoji do something um because what I tell people is is my guests are secondary and I don't mean that mean but the guests are just a vehicle to go live and have good intentional conversation but really the importance of this live is for is the chat right so please say hey please engage with others I tell people I've been doing this for four years now I want to set the framework on how to network so I would shoot everybody a DM that's in the chat say hey it was goo d to see you this
morning on guidance counselor 2.0 don't be weird don't be creepy just say it was good to see you I would message Reggie I'd message every guest that I have on the show right as you can tell I have a wide variety of guests on the show everybody from Fang uh decision makers all the way down to boot camp grads who've been successful motivational speakers like Reggie like we kind of cover up with the game on guidance counselor 2.0 and so um again connect with Reggie if you connected with every single guest I've had on the show it would after four years you would have a
pretty expansive Network so again I encourage you to do that I will tell you this um I had an individual on recently um she is very well known in the entrepreneurial SP face and she told me she goes Taylor I've been on a lot of podcasts at this point in my career she goes your podcast is the only podcast that I actually had connections from so shout out to guidance counsel 2.0 Community y'all are amazing she literally said she goes I literally got 70 80 new connections uh new followers from your podcast and a ton of DMS she goes I've never had that before so
again shout out to you guys you guys are the best um so let's see here we got this morning Kelly ta it's good to see you Daniel good morning William good morning Chris Fernando from Fort Myers Florida I love it it's wonderful to see y' this morning we're gonna dive in Reggie I know who you are it's been we were talking backstage I think it's been over a year since I've had Reggie on the show but Reggie if you want to give a quick background about who you are at a super high level to kind of set the stage for the conversation yeah I think
I don't know what I said last time but I'm a human NE I'm a human I'm a human I I'm a human and and I have had a life that is that is have been all that's been all over the place and started with being born in Nashville Tennessee so shout out to Fort Meers I've been down there it's a good spot but Na shville Tennessee been here my whole life and was born to uh a young mother 14-year-old mother who was um you know trying to find her way in this world and understand life and raise me at the same time and I think
I think that is a a big part of my story because it set the tone for and how I responded and and developed along the way uh but I think like one of the things that I learned early on was like external validation felt good to me um I grew up in a home that was where there was a lot of um emotional unavailability and so I got my love and appreciation and validation from doing things from achieving things and those things were started with school then Sports then uh business and so I you know my early career all of all of everything that I've
been doing up until this point has been like achieve achieve get this accomplishment get this goal and you know it led me to uh very nice private school where they take trips to Ghana and do all these things that are amazing and um also to Vanderbilt University I'm rocking I think this is Owen Graduate School of Business are you guys good at football this year oh we we whooping ass right now let's go I mean are y'all good at football hey putting up 50 plus points let's go crazy crazy who's y where's y's quarterback from side not football talk real quick where they the poor
man Tracy murly and I giggled at that oh wow where is Diego I don't know where he's from originally but I think he most recently transfer ferred from uh New Mexico state so okay gotcha gotos he's that dude man he's that dude yeah yeah pman Trace Mur I but uh so he's from Albuquerque New Mexico is what I just saw so yeah got but yeah man we we two and 0 right now I'm hoping this weekend we pull out another one and so who who y'all playing this weekend uh man I wish I knew um and for the record Reggie played for Vander football played
under the great James Franklin just so oh yeah you guys we we we have sea Elliot now on staff so okay I don't think they' re good anymore Anor down I see you Chris yeah absolutely um well so Reggie I mean obviously um you know your story is crazy uh it's crazy unbelievable right is is is really kind of what I say to folks um but you know if you want to check out Reggie story I I went live with him like a year ago so check out that episode but when it comes to today Reggie what are we diving in today diving into today
diving into so like you mentioned earlier um next week literally about this yeah this time next week I'll be giving my first tedex talk at tedex Old Hickory um a little bit outside of Nashville and the talk is it's called you are enough uh how selflove heals what selfimprovement harms and so yeah like when I when I go back back to my story of seeking external validation and seeking more and seeking self-improvement in not in and not the sense of like bettering my character or being wiser like things that I feel are inherently good but the little Jabs that say you are not enough that
you're incomplete that you have to achieve status or something to be better and so fighting against those forces and dealing with the trauma that ultimately brings Shame about who we are as well um created this person where my responses my trauma responses were normalized and celebrated and appreciated by the world and so shout out to Memphis I see you JC um and so that became that that was a good Force for me it pushed me to do some amazing things for a lot of my life until it didn't right the the crippling shame the constant self-criticism the feeling that it was never enough no matter
how much I achieved right I could I could run track get a gold medal and throw that medal in the trash because it wasn't fulfilling what I wanted what I needed to be filled and you know from needing love validation appreciation those things weren't getting filled with another achievement another award and so I I had a breaking point where I had an anxiety attack and I did not know what anxiety truly was I had l ived an anxiety my entire life I think but I didn't know what it was it didn't [ __ ] me in the way that it did during this episode and
I was on the floor and I was crying I was laughing I was blabbering I was incoherent and I had this moment this out of- Body Experience moment where I saw myself on the floor and I was like how in the world did you end up here and you know you've achieved all the things like if you looked up the definition of success especially where I came from like relative or absolute success I had achieved those things and yet I was unfulfilled I was unhappy and so I had to do something different I knew that my Pursuits weren't in the best uh intentions for myself
and so what did that truly look like and it took a lot of self-reflection and looking at myself and understanding what my motivations were and what I wanted them to truly be and what would ultimately be the the factor that that made me feel fulfilled and come to realize it was just loving myself a little bit more a lot bit more actually man there's so much there's so much to break down here you know I think as a as a fellow you know as somebody who craves validation I mean listen listen let's just be real for a second like why do you think I like
am all over social media like selfishly I I I love the accolades right I mean yeah you know I I did um I did a social media fast from my phone um with church over the last week man I tell you what that was crazy like how many times I I've been programmed to go to my phone to to to to look at social media for the affirmation the validation and and so what what what would you tell people I mean what are some steps right because I think a lot of people right now I think people in general are caught up uh especially um
men I can only speak to men right I'm not a woman I only speak to men is that we are really caught up in our careers our careers Define who we are and I would say I have gone through a season over the last two years of redefining wh o I am based off my career how have you overcome pulling out of whatever you found validation in to basically find validation in yourself what does that process look like any I always say tips and tricks I don't know if there's any tricks yeah but if there's just any tips for for that for the men on
this and then we have uh we are international this morning we have Nigeria I love it I love it yeah I think I think first is is a level of awareness like you have to have a level of awareness that you're even being motivated by those things right it's it's like oh I'm I'm cha like I I I just like in my inbox like all the top 30 30 30 under 30 40 under 40 the all those like Awards and lists and things they'll pop up and it's like you've been nominated or apply here and my motivation in the past would be to jump on
that because yes I want to put that on my resume I want to put that on my LinkedIn I want someone to see that I am worthy and and when you have the awareness that that is the motivation like it's not going to lead like for me personally I don't think it leads to more business I don't think it leads to uh happier life I don't think it leads to better relationships I think it just is a a plaque or something that you can put up on the wall to make you feel somewhat better about yourself but it's it's fleeting and it's superficial and so
the the awareness around those things is like okay yes I've been chasing this status of being a whatever you want to call it director Senor director CEO whatever because it's going to look good to the outside world as opposed to thinking about and the part that really shifted things for me was thinking about my inner child the younger version of me that needed whatever that that that that turned into seeking external validation what was he truly needing he was needing unconditional love he was needing someone to say I see you that I appreciate you that you are enough and so that is uh the awareness
like you have to start with the aw areness and then I think how do you how do you develop sorry how do you develop awareness right because I feel like people like well I'm aware but but I feel like the people who say I'm aware a lot are actually not aware right yeah I'm aware yeah yeah I know yeah I'm aware I'm aware it's usually you know they're like the worst aware like I have my thoughts on how to seek this out but I'm interested your thoughts I think you have to be very open to honest feedback from others I don't think that I I
think you can get to a point where you can sit with your own thought and sit with your own self and start to develop that awareness I think that's a step after like in terms of meditation and mindfulness but I think beginning you have to be open to the feedback from others and an other person is like a therapist who is really trained to understand the mind and the brain and your thought patterns and so awareness of a thought pattern and when I tell you like I grew up in the hood and I grew up with a lot of violence around me and so my
natural thought pattern goes to Violent like it could be Like Somebody's knocking on my door or they're trying to kill me right it get like literal and and some people may think that is absolutely crazy but like that is my thought pattern until I can communicate that with other people and then have them tell me that you've normalized that but I don't know if that's NE necessarily helpful and adaptive for you now and going wow okay let me think about other thoughts like that that I have to where I immediately go down this default path and I haven't ever deviated and gone the other way
and so I think having the ability to take that feedback from others and not treat it as judgment or criticism but just neutral feedback and start to digest that is the first step and then from there I believe like mindfulness and meditation is is key because you're going to be I mean like it's it's not clearing your mind of things it's becoming aware of where you r mind is and then you can start to change and adjust where your thought patterns go but if you don't ever sit and just be with yourself then it's going to be really hard so two comments on this I
can hear you talk for hours man I can hear you talk for hours um uh first off in terms of how to find awareness go to a loved one and say who am I how do I act where are my weaknesses boy you talking about hearing some truth it's tough right my wife keeps me accountable if you are not married if you are not dating maybe it's a family member right maybe it's your brother maybe it's your sister maybe it's your mom or your dad right maybe it's it's a really close friend if you don't want to go to your parents you don't have parents
around yeah right but I think asking somebody hey how do I come across yes yes I think it's and it's all and listen I'm not saying go to like Aunt suie down the road who you've talked to only three times over the last year no no no this is somebody who you trust Confidant you know and I will tell you this that is the I mean literally I'm telling you this is why marriage I think is the best thing for everybody because it's a mirror back at yourself right and then you want a double mirror we talked about this briefly about having kids right it's
like a double mirror back at yourself so incredibly important I think the second thing is and actually I did this with with fasting off social media for my phone over the last week I challenge everybody on this call to sit with no music no TV no cell phone for 15 minutes at a [Music] wall yeah I did it and it [Laughter] sucks and I realized I couldn't do it but I did I leaned in right lean in kept doing it kept doing it and what I realized I mean like there were some Revelations that come out of this right like I I have actually taken
Twitter off of my phone like am just on it so much and believe it or not it's not near as addictive as like Tik Tok or Instagram for me um and like that's something that came ou t of it right like being able to sit in your own silence is very difficult and I I I highly recommend that meditation right if we talk about meditation um there are apps out there heads space I've tried heads space breathing I'm not really big on that just me personally like if it works for you my wife does headspace and stuff like that I know a lot of entrepreneurs
do head space but just being able to sit in silence for 15 minutes I challenge you to start doing that because I think in today's world we're just too busy we're just too busy far too busy and it's like it's like I always make the comparison to physical health right it's like working out it's like working out a bicep or a quad like when you first started it's going to be difficult it's going to be hard if you've never lifted a weight in your life it's going to be difficult but as you work on it as you practice it and that's what it is meditation
yoga all of it it's a practice as you practice it you develop that muscle it gets a little bit stronger you you get more um able to sustain throughout you know because I've done three hour meditations and I have friends who will sit there and do 10hour meditations or two three day Retreats and things like that where they're doing absolutely nothing I mean I mean you got now granted there's some illegal drug stone in there but you got um uh Jet's quarterback uh I'm drawing a blank on his name Aon Rogers who locked himself in a dark room for I think two or three days
yeah and and and like when you like like one of my favorite things is like a sensory deprivation tank and I've never done that those are cool we should go we of so like what what it is is you're in a pod like just a pot full of water and the water is super saturated with EPs and salt so um you're able to float in it and you're basically like 13 off stranger things I'm going back rewatching stranger things you're basically 13 off stranger things yeah and so the water is your body temperature there's no light there's no sound there's no anything you can't see
you can't feel you can't like anything and you just lay there and you your your mind is going to go where it's going to go and I think that's one of those places where you can be like okay every every five minutes or so like just try to check in with yourself where's my mind right now right let it do what it does but then check in and say where is it right now and why am I in horror film in my head and or why am I in a peaceful like garden and it everything like just just be curious about it and so yeah
I think that's a great way to get into it well and I think being comfortable to feel I think what H what what I've noticed through the social media F it's it's such good timing it's such good timing we get Jesy here everything works out for a reason right there's a reason why we're talking after I've done this seven day fast true and like we don't give our time to we don't give our time to feel anything yeah yeah we're too busy what I realize is that when when I have a down moment I went to Tik Tok yeah when I had a down moment
I went to Instagram and what you don't realize is it is it's it's static it's noise and so being able to just kind of get rid of everything it makes you realize like I don't think we let our inner child inner daughter and her son speak to us and where we're hurting yeah and and I think being able to to get away from the noise is incredibly important it's hard it's hard for people to sit and sit in Emotion right like and and to because because we start to judge emotion we judge emotion as as a bad emotion or a good emotion or like and
there's no such thing it's just emotion right you feel and and feeling like when people say I get emotional I try to correct them and say no you're just being human like you're getting human you're being human and be emotional that's a part of us and so like to sit in sadness to sit in grief to sit in Anger to sit in pain is okay and it's totally human and y ou have to feel those things in order for your body to process whatever it is and then move forward from that but what see I I've done so many different forms of therapy but I
did something called um neuro feedback and it show is that is that EMD or whatever like different look we can get into all of them yes so MDR eye movement desensitization and reprocessing is is like using like the the bilateral like activation of both sides of your brain to help open up file cabinets basically andas but but uh neural feedback it like put you put these like little monitors on your brain and it measures the wavelengths and like one of the the wavelengths for me showed that I had emotional suppression for like prolong like extended periods of time so basically my entire life I suppress
emotion and what we know from beray Brown like you can't just suppress the negative emotions you suppress the good ones as well and so suppressing those emotions becomes the norm and you forget how to feel those so I'll sit there and see something I'm like I know that is the saddest thing in the world and like I see everybody else in here crying and I'm gonna have to fake these tears because I can't feel I can't [ __ ] feel it or win a championship game and I'm like man why like everybody's happy in here and I'm just like it's just numb it's just numb
and so like and that's what we do when we turn to our phones when we turn to a screen when we like can't sit still with ourselves we numb ourselves through those things like the dopamine hits that we get from a notification from uh the scrolling from all of that is is numbing our brains just like a drug would yeah so absolutely absolutely so good um so you know as we kind of in the last 10 minutes you know I definitely want to bring it back two careers to the job search a little bit Reggie what what what are some advice to people who um
may be down um maybe feeling like they're not enough I mean I I hear it all the time in the job search right you kno w like I didn't get a job I'm not good enough I'm not enough just kind of that consistent theme what would you tell people I would first I'm going to affirm you are enough right you are enough just the way that you are you are magnificent you are created and and yes you are imperfect but imper imperfection is beautiful and it is human and so I think to one forgive yourself for all the criticism and judgment and and all the
things that you say to yourself because those things were in ingrained in us from a early age that we need to um make ourselves look better be better feel better uh to to be worthy and that's just not true but as you go through the process and I'm going come back to the talk a little bit where you know when I talk about self-improvement and self-love it's not about not seeking growth it's not about not seeking Innovation it's about changing the motivation behind it right where the motivation was insecurity was shame was I'm not good enough so let me go prove that I'm good enough
it's no I I love myself and I am worthy and deserving of all these things so let me go get those things that I deserve and so that's the shift and so when when and and look at it like when you start to see yourself in that light you recognize that when someone doesn't give you the job that's their loss that is their loss and all the things line up in time the universe is going to provide you with what you need if you believe in a higher being your higher being your higher power is going to provide you what you need when you need
it and all the people that reject you in that moment it's not a no to you it's just a not right for that moment and so I think yeah when you start to look at yourself and and truly know that you are enough just as you are you start to see rejection in a totally different light I love that I love that um kind of man I have still so many questions and and we're obviously running out of time when it comes to um kind of some let me ask you this again b ecause I try to go back to the Practical tactical and I
know there's no hat for like what we're talking about but what are some things that you've implemented in your life that have kept you accountable that kept you centered that have kept you centered or keep you centered or maybe some God guidelines framework you know what I'm trying to say like gu guard rails that kind of thing I think I think we want quick fixes and that's where the Tactical comes from and yeah like when you're changing thought patterns in your mind it's just not always going to be quick and so like our brain like neuroplasticity is real where your brain has the ability to
shift and change and adapt and so one of the things that I'm going to talk about in this talk is that inner child healing where when I sit down with my therapist I'm talking to my inner child and I'll close my eyes and I Envision a eight-year-old version of me and I'm holding him and I'm rubbing my arms and I'm consoling him and I'm telling him all those different things that you are enough that I believe in you that I believe you that you are not the problem that there is nothing wrong with you that you are amazing and when you start to rewire those
thought patterns it does make changes but it does with aill it doesn't happen just immediately it doesn't happen that fast and it's just about being consistent and having discipline to do the things that are going to make you feel better sustainably not in a short quick time what's up quick we just found out this was happening today oh man I love it yeah also for the record LinkedIn I I'm we're both streaming from our LinkedIn which is hilarious at J can't find it this is why I'm kind of navigating more towards YouTube LinkedIn live is just it's not ideal so um well Reggie yeah I
love that man I I love that I love that T James it's good to see you man um as we kind of wrap up here um you know I I want to kind of go light real quick right and kind of end with some rapid fire here but again for H how can people find you how how can people reach out to you uh at regid D Ford on all platforms I don't have a Tik Tok uh but all the other platforms at regid Ford and then regid for.com send me a message or email or something I love it yeah send Reggie a message he's
one of the good ones for real um first question this is a new question I just developed all right um what did you want to be in grade school elementary school middle school when you grew when you when you grew up when you grow when you were going to grow up and do you think you'd be good at it now um I think growing up in the hood it was either be a I'm going just say be an athlete and so um yeah that was what I what I wanted to do you were you were good at was good at that and I think I
could have played professionally maybe not the NFL but I could have played professionally something and so but now at 33 years old yeah I can still bought I can still I can still there you go yeah yeah I love it I love it I love it you know I I yeah I love that and I've doubt I have no doubt um uh second question um you know I I always tell people this in Tech I was like listen if I told you you woke up tomorrow and couldn't do what you are doing currently but I'd pay you the same amount of money or more what
would you want to do because my question is like trying to get people to answer what they really want to do but I feel like you're doing what you really want to do yeah and I think that so that speaks to a part of my career is like most of my career has been in Finance and Accounting and uh I started my career as an accountant sitting behind a computer and budging people as an external aitor I did not see that I did not see that at all and that just didn't fit who I was or wanted to be and then got into wealth management
and I still am in wealth management but I think when I get in front of people and I'm able to connect with people's souls and hearts that is that is what I want to do and that's wh at I'm doing so yeah yeah I love that I love that James coming he can't ball don't believe him um uh uh let's see here yeah didn't notice LinkedIn as well have go oh James Jam didn't tell him I just got my first hole in one a couple days ago so yeah I can do that well you got your first ho one I just got my first par
let's go there we go we are we we need to go out together we need to go out together got got I sunk like a 25 foot putt on a par three just absolutely just down the middle so um again like I said so real quick um oh I forgot to do my announcements uh this morning it listen Live's weird this this is going to be the best way for you to catch all my lives now text me um I I I text the community every day when I go live because it definitely seems like there's a massive glitch across all platforms I'm gonna be
pushing YouTube more just because it's more consistent but I will always go live on LinkedIn so just text this um uh for for real because um yeah let's see no one was no to see he be lying man James is coming in hot this morning James relax hater's gonna ha is gonna hate um this is kind of just another kind of fun fun question um have you you know for techies I usually ask like your favorite framework or Tech thing you're tinkering with for non- tech people I ask what's your favorite piece of content you've watched or read just something fun or educational um I'm
rereading it right now it's The Alchemist I think that book I've read that book somebody else I think recently on this live recommended it too really it's it's a deep book and and I think for me and and you can interpret it however you want to but I think it it speaks to kind of some of the stuff that I was talking about and and well we be talking about in my talk and just coming back to knowing that everything that you need everything that you're searching for everything that you want you already have it it's hard I love it I love it um James
if you give me a heads up and I approve it with t he wife I will come down and play with you for sure um absolutely um last question again y'all thank you for tuning in appreciate it hopefully you got some validation out of this um I did see um that we already coming in thank you I just got rejected last night after what I thought was a great interview so these words are hitting home right now exactly this is why I do this live right I it was a great interview it was a great interview you did job and they it's their loss they
they missed out on a super I literally tell people if you follow my content for a while I say like 90% of the job 90% of the reason why you get rejected isn't because of you yeah not budgets could change there's so many factors I mean there's so many factors so again yeah do not take it personally um heads up Sunday James let me get back to you on that maybe um that may who's this pushy James you should be in sales you should be in sales the text alerts are great yeah yeah yeah again yeah got the text so went to LinkedIn Chris may

today uh really about Reggie we're gonna touch on Reggie's background super high level but Reggie's actually about to give a tedex talk um and and so you know again I want to bring people on this show uh to build a platform uh to give to to give them a platform rather um and Reggie is one of the best dudes that I know um and so if you need a little pick in the pants this morning um definitely stay here with us this morning for the next 30 minutes I know we got started a little bit early but I just want to chat with Reggie and
go live um but so say hey right so say hey we love to hear from you um uh again this is a networking platform I know we started a little bit early um and uh but please say Hey listen if if you're lurking this morning um just just literally just say hey throw up your favorite emoji do something um because what I tell people is is my guests are secondary and I don't mean that mean but the guests are just a vehicle to go live and have good intentional conversation but really the importance of this live is for is the chat right so please say
